By popular demand the Quarry Horror Film Show is returning for a second year. The setting in the quarry is perfect for this year’s film “Close Encounters of the Third Kind.” The filming will take place on Friday 1st September. Doors open at 9pm and the film starts at 10pm. Park in Park Road, or Blackheath Way, West Malvern, then just follow the signs. Do bring your own chairs and blankets, but not your own food and drinks. A cash bar and food will be provided by Colwall WINGS WI. Tickets cost £10 and can be purchased from Malvern Party and Balloons, the Brewers Arms or telephone Chris on 07976 989081.
Colwall Rotarian Chris Mill and his wife Sara, who own the quarry, said “ Everyone said that The Quarry Horror Film Show was such good fun last year that we really wanted to do it again. This year the event will be run in aid of Heartstart Malvern, a local charity everyone will want to support. The event is being organised by Heartstart Malvern, with the support of Colwall Wings WI and Colwall Rotary Club. Do get your tickets early to avoid disappointment. We’d just say that in the event of bad weather do check the Heartstart Facebook page or call 01684 566511 (Malvern Party and Balloons)”
