Here we will provide information on what Colwall Rotary has been doing both as a Club and for the Community in which it operates

In December Colwall Rotary Club hosted two ‘Light Up a Life’ Christmas trees – one outside the Colwall Coffee Lounge, the other above the Brewers Arms in West Malvern. This year we were blessed with fair weather, the tree light dedication services were extremely well attended and the money raised for St Michael’s Hospice surpassed all expectations. Gift Aid has still to be added in to the total, but so far the income raised for the Hospice has reached £1342.

Nicky West, the Hospice’s Chief Executive said: “This is an amazing total. The money raised will make a significant difference to patients and carers at the hospice”.

None of this would be possible without the wonderful support of the two venues, local businesses and individuals. Thank you so much to everybody who contributed so generously to Light Up a Life through their time, efforts and donations.

This is the week our members deny themselves the comforts of the Malvern Hills Hotel and travel to meet with other Rotary Clubs and participate in their club activity.

This fulfils one of Rotary's objectives; The development of aquaintance as an opportunity for Service.

We do not know who we will meet, or what they do or who they know, but someone at that meeting may be able to help us in one of our local activities at some time in the future.

Locations already identified for visits are Ross-on-Wye, Worcester and Southam (in Warwickshire).
