Young Photographers Competition 2018/19
Calling all young snappers
We are delighted to announce the launch of this year’s Young Photographer Competition, the theme of which is the ‘Beauty of Nature’.
The competition aims to encourage young people to experiment with photography, to use digital or traditional methods of photography, to show interpretation of their chosen topic and to express their ideas through the medium of photography.
The competition is open to all young people in the following three age groups on 31st August 2018
- Junior: 7 to 10 years old
- Intermediate: 11 to 13 years old
- Senior: 14 to 17 years old
All entrants will receive a certificate and the winners of the following age groups will then be entered into a District Competition and if successful again the National Finals
To enter you need to produce a portfolio of three photographs based upon the theme, ‘Beauty of Nature’ in colour or black and white on photographic paper.
Prints to be submitted separately. Each print, including any mount, should be no larger than A4 size. Mobile Phones may be used to take the photographs.
In addition, each entrant should fill in the entry form below and provide a brief sentence of what each photograph represents in relation to the theme.
Please Note: Photographs which include those of people under 18 years old must be accompanied by written permission from the parent, guardian, or carer of the person for those photographs to be submitted.

“This is the first time Colwall Rotary Club have participated in the competition locally, but The Young Photographer Competition is a well-established and successful competition promoted by Rotary International in Britain and Ireland (RIBI). We are looking forward to viewing the entries.”
