Alehouse Festival

Well done to everyone who helped to make the Alehouse Festival a worthwhile and enjoyable event.

Whilst the weather - bright blue sky without a cloud in sight and very hot - helped to draw the crowds, it did make manning the car park a little uncomfortable and very quickly dusty!

The ‘sizzling sausage tent'  was well staffed and a particular thank you from the Club to Jan and Yvonne for assisting for more than a couple of hours.

Clearing up at the end was quick and efficient and again, with plenty of feet on the ground, we made short work of clearing our pitch, several others, collecting poles and even rebuilding the seating in the church!

It again raised the profile for the Club in our community.

As an additional reminder coming up in the next week, we have :

On Thursday evening Russell is organising a Bike ride and Curry for Alehouse. He’ll provide all the relevant information shortly.

Raft construction for the Monmouth Raft Race, including welding continues this Thursday afternoon at 4 pm. Can the team responsible for checking the rules etc
please make sure you have checked that we are within the stated size etc before
hand so we don't weld something we can't use.

Presidents evening, 7.00 pm Friday. Smart casual. Look forward to seeing you
there.

Westfest on Saturday. A note will be issued shortly from either Alan T or
Tony B with final details.

Thank you again everyone,

President Chris
